Melting Virgo's live original band theatrically blends an array of genres including soul, ska, heavy metal, and power rock ballads into righteous-anger-bangers. This original music encourages people to embrace and defend their humanity and the humanity of our neighbors through collective action. Plus, it's super fun to dance and sing along!
In October 2025, we launched a month-long crowdfund through Seed&Spark which will fund our debut album of eight original songs, which we're in the process of recording and mixing. You can check out the full project information here and sample the music performed live below. You can support this project for free by creating a Seed&Spark and smashing the "Follow <3" button so that you will get a ping as the songs become available for streaming!

I wrote the hook of this song when smoke from California drifted across the country to DC in the summer of 2022. The song has been sung at many direct actions with groups like XRDC and the Sunrise Movement.

This just-for-fun birthday band of friends turned into a gigging cover band that plays a wide variety of certified bangers with everything from ABBA to Black Sabbath. Our original line up includes myself (keytar, trumpet, vocals) and Jyoti (vocals, flute).
